The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,884.85), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).

Die Arbeit Piccola bagnante von Emilio Greco wurde im Februar 2009 in der Auktion Impressionist /Modern Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.884,85) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
