Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition Sur Fond Violet by István (Etienne) Beöthy was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by István (Etienne) Beöthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monument pour aviateur, Op. 48 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,960.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition Sur Fond Violet von István (Etienne) Beöthy wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von István (Etienne) Beöthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monument pour aviateur, Op. 48 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.960,50).
