Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trouville, l'heure du bain by Eugène Boudin was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 604,800.00 (€ 702,605.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Boudin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La plage de Trouville, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 2,262,000.00 (€ 2,681,855.58).

Die Arbeit Trouville, l'heure du bain von Eugène Boudin wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 604.800,00 (€ 702.605,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène Boudin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La plage de Trouville beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 2.262.000,00 (€ 2.681.855,58) versteigert wurde.
