It achieved a price of NLG 18,723.20 (€ 8,986.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugène Rémy Maes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot In the Farm Yard sold at auction in June 2003 with the realized price of GBP 10,755.00 (€ 15,455.52).
