Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Seated Woman) by Felipe Castañeda for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,739.23). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Felipe Castañeda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternity in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,483.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Seated Woman) von Felipe Castañeda für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.739,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Felipe Castañeda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternity im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.483,29).
