Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The rosary seller, Loreto by Ferdinand de Braekeleer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2000. The price achieved of NLG 17,553.00 (€ 8,424.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand de Braekeleer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A fruitseller's advice in April 2002 with an auction result of EUR 90,820.00.

Die Arbeit The rosary seller, Loreto von Ferdinand de Braekeleer kam im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 17.553,00 (€ 8.424,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand de Braekeleer erzielen.
