Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Eléments mécaniques by Fernand Léger for USD 275,000.00 (€ 235,646.96). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernand Léger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contraste de formes in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 70,062,500.00 (€ 58,885,947.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Eléments mécaniques von Fernand Léger für USD 275.000,00 (€ 235.646,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernand Léger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contraste de formes im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.062.500,00 (€ 58.885.947,22).
