Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Design Based On A Bird Sitting, C.1930 by Francis Bruguière was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,276.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Bruguière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Experiment, From 'The Way', C. 1925 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 123,750.00 (€ 93,977.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Design Based On A Bird Sitting, C.1930 von Francis Bruguière im November 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.276,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Bruguière erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Experiment, From 'The Way', C. 1925 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 123.750,00 (€ 93.977,83).
