Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Bruguière could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs, including Property from the Collection of auction, the work Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco changed hands for USD 2,585.00 (€ 3,046.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Bruguière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Experiment, From 'The Way', C. 1925 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 123,750.00 (€ 93,977.83).
