Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bateaux de pêche by Francis Picabia was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 61,028.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.

Die Arbeit Bateaux de pêche von Francis Picabia kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 61.028,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Picabia erzielen.
