Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by François-Xavier Lalanne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October last year. In the AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian auction, the work Gorille De Sûreté II' sold for EUR 6,445,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François-Xavier Lalanne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964, which sold at auction in October this year for EUR 18,335,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian wurde die Arbeit Gorille De Sûreté II' für EUR 6.445.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für EUR 18.335.000,00 versteigert wurde.
