Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Renoncules: buttercups in a vase by George Morren. The result of EUR 6,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Morren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work À L'Harmonie (Jardin Public) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 915,000.00 (€ 784,061.70).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Renoncules: buttercups in a vase von George Morren zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Morren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit À L'Harmonie (Jardin Public) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 915.000,00 (€ 784.061,70).
