Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work L'Automne by Georges Rouault. The price achieved of GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,128.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Rouault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fleurs décoratives in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 644,000.00 (€ 761,679.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Automne von Georges Rouault zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.128,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Rouault erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fleurs décoratives im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 644.000,00 (€ 761.679,48).
