Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II, which included the work Abstraktes Bild (557-3) by Gerhard Richter. The price achieved of USD 2,298,500.00 (€ 2,107,169.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstraktes Bild (557-3) von Gerhard Richter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.298.500,00 (€ 2.107.169,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstraktes Bild im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.389.000,00 (€ 41.901.917,57).
