Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The Macklowe Collection, which included the work Seestück Seascape by Gerhard Richter. The price achieved of USD 30,198,500.00 (€ 28,141,366.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000,000.00 – 35,000,000.00. Other works by Gerhard Richter have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2015 the work Abstraktes Bild was auctioned for GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Macklowe Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seestück Seascape von Gerhard Richter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.198.500,00 (€ 28.141.366,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000.000,00 – 35.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Richter konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2015 die Arbeit Abstraktes Bild für GBP 30.389.000,00 (€ 41.901.917,57) versteigert.
