Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gesner Armand could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Forbidden Fruit changed hands for USD 62.50 (€ 48.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Gesner Armand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 500.00 (€ 390.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gesner Armand konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Forbidden Fruit für USD 62,50 (€ 48,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gesner Armand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500,00 (€ 390,50).
