Despite a disappointment, a good price for Gesner Armand
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Gesner Armand for USD 500.00 (€ 390.50). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Gesner Armand that we have observed at auction so far.
