In December 2018 Il Ponte held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Linee orizzontali by Giorgio Griffa. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Griffa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Verticale in April last year with an auction result of EUR 47,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Linee orizzontali von Giorgio Griffa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Griffa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Verticale im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.880,00.
