Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Christies in Paris held the auction Intérieurs, which included the work Le port de Civitavecchia, des bateaux au premier-plan by Giovanni Volpato. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,750.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Volpato have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Six wall sections / pilasters in the Raphael Loggias in the Vatican. in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 125,000.00 (€ 12,192.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Intérieurs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le port de Civitavecchia, des bateaux au premier-plan von Giovanni Volpato zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Volpato auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Six wall sections / pilasters in the Raphael Loggias in the Vatican. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 125.000,00 (€ 12.192,97).
