Die Arbeit Mutter, du hier? (Mother, Is It You?) von Gottfried Helnwein war einem Käufer im November 2019 EUR 30.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gottfried Helnwein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Epiphany 2B (Die Anbetung der Hirten). im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 158.400,00.
