This artwork by Hannah Höch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2021. In the The Art of the Surreal auction, the work Der Berg sold for GBP 500,000.00 (€ 587,371.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hannah Höch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frau und Saturn, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 1,085,000.00 (€ 1,235,612.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hannah Höch erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Art of the Surreal wurde die Arbeit Der Berg für GBP 500.000,00 (€ 587.371,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hannah Höch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frau und Saturn beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 1.085.000,00 (€ 1.235.612,57) versteigert wurde.
