Auction result fails to reach estimate
When this work without title by Hans Bellmer was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had set an estimate of DKK 2,000.00 but failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 750.00 (€ 100.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Bellmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait With Die Puppe in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 374,500.00 (€ 289,010.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hans Bellmer im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 2.000,00 angegeben, edn dieses Werk bei seiner Vertsiegerung jedoch nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 750,00 (€ 100,67) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Bellmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait With Die Puppe im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.500,00 (€ 289.010,65).
