Auction result well in line with expectations
The work January 1964; and Untitled 1964 by Harold Cohen was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2011. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,497.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Harold Cohen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Figure in July this year with an auction result of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,933.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit January 1964; and Untitled 1964 von Harold Cohen wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.497,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Cohen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Figure im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.933,72).
