In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A challenge sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,910.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Alexander Harington Bird achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arab horses in the desert in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,145.00 (€ 19,563.70).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit A challenge für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.910,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Alexander Harington Bird erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arab horses in the desert im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.145,00 (€ 19.563,70).
