Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arabian horses in the desert; Arab stallions at sunset. (2) by John Alexander Harington Bird was sold in the Orientalist Art auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,637.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by John Alexander Harington Bird have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work Arab horses in the desert was auctioned for GBP 13,145.00 (€ 19,563.70).
