A top price for Hema Upadhyay
This artwork by Hema Upadhyay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 84,590.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. This high result makes the work without title the most expensive artwork by Hema Upadhyay that we have observed at auctions so far.
