Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rue Mouffetard, Paris, 1954 by Henri Cartier-Bresson was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,755.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Henri Cartier-Bresson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Banks of the Marne, France in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rue Mouffetard, Paris, 1954 von Henri Cartier-Bresson kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.755,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Cartier-Bresson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Banks of the Marne, France im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 195.043,60).
