Upper estimate price exceeded by 68 %.
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Discoveries, which included the work Sortie du soir by Henri Le Sidaner. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,173.62), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Le Sidaner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Sérénade, Venise in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,100,000.00 (€ 2,034,292.36).
