Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Visage féminin by Henri Matisse was auctioned at Christies in Paris in March 2015. It achieved a price of EUR 145,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Visage féminin von Henri Matisse kam im März 2015 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 145.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
