Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mother and Child by Henry Moore was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,505.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mother and Child von Henry Moore kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.505,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure: Festival im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.722.500,00 (€ 29.675.067,53).
