Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Figure No. 3 by Henry Moore was sold in the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction at Sothebys in Paris in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 132,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reclining Figure No. 3 von Henry Moore wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 132.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure: Festival im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.722.500,00 (€ 29.675.067,53).
