Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Time Exposed, 1991 by Hiroshi Sugimoto. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,461.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
