Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Agave Attenuata, 1945 by Horst P. Horst was sold in the Photographs from the Richard Gere Collection auction at Christies in New York in April last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,370.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horst P. Horst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
