In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway, which included this untitled work by I Gusti Nyoman Sudara Lempad. The result of HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,319.63) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by I Gusti Nyoman Sudara Lempad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ramayana Story in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,114.14).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von I Gusti Nyoman Sudara Lempad zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.319,63) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von I Gusti Nyoman Sudara Lempad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ramayana Story im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.114,14).
