Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacques Germain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work without title sold for EUR 17,640.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Germain - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rue En Marche, which sold at auction in March 2011 for USD 53,125.00 (€ 37,456.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacques Germain erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 17.640,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Germain mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rue En Marche beobachtet, die im März 2011 für USD 53.125,00 (€ 37.456,81) versteigert wurde.
