This artwork by Jadé Fadojutimi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work My Blanket has a Possessive Nature sold for GBP 529,200 (€ 627,426) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jadé Fadojutimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Myths of Pleasure, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 1,172,000 (€ 1,388,503).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jadé Fadojutimi erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit My Blanket has a Possessive Nature für GBP 529.200 (€ 627.426) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000. Für andere Arbeiten von Jadé Fadojutimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Myths of Pleasure beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 1.172.000 (€ 1.388.503) versteigert wurde.
