This artwork by Jadé Fadojutimi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work My Blanket has a Possessive Nature sold for GBP 529,200.00 (€ 627,426.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jadé Fadojutimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quirk my mannerism, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 1,935,500.00 (€ 1,774,385.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jadé Fadojutimi erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit My Blanket has a Possessive Nature für GBP 529.200,00 (€ 627.426,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jadé Fadojutimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quirk my mannerism beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 1.935.500,00 (€ 1.774.385,77) versteigert wurde.
