A top price for James Hopkins
When the work Blue Thunder by James Hopkins was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than ten times as high at GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,721.77). This high result makes Blue Thunder the most expensive artwork by James Hopkins that we have observed at auctions so far.
