Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Grandmother's High Button Boots by James Lawrence Isherwood for GBP 358.50 (€ 537.88). This price was achieved in the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Lawrence Isherwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rain and Sun, Wigan in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,450.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grandmother's High Button Boots von James Lawrence Isherwood für GBP 358,50 (€ 537,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Lawrence Isherwood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rain and Sun, Wigan im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.450,45).
