Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Lawrence Isherwood could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Tranquility; And Lyme Regis Harbour, Dorset changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 525.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Lawrence Isherwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rain and Sun, Wigan in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,450.45).
