The work Mevagissey, Cornwall Harbour by James Lawrence Isherwood was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,380.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by James Lawrence Isherwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rain and Sun, Wigan in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,450.45).

Die Arbeit Mevagissey, Cornwall Harbour von James Lawrence Isherwood kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.380,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Lawrence Isherwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rain and Sun, Wigan im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.450,45).
