Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Simona, suicidal tendencies, c. 1987 by Jan Saudek for USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,814.06). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Saudek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected images, 1980s, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,349.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Simona, suicidal tendencies, c. 1987 von Jan Saudek für USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.814,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Saudek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected images, 1980s beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.349,97) versteigert wurde.
