Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in Paris held the auction AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian, which included the work Déméter by Jean (Hans) Arp. The price achieved of EUR 2,202,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,800,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean (Hans) Arp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Déméter, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Déméter von Jean (Hans) Arp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.202.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.800.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean (Hans) Arp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Déméter beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 5.825.000,00 (€ 5.144.396,36) versteigert wurde.
