Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Torse fruit by Jean (Hans) Arp. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 488,230.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean (Hans) Arp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Déméter in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).
