Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Surrealism and Its Legacy, which included the work Nouvelle année or La lumière revient by Jean Crotti. The price achieved of EUR 315,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Crotti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les forces mécaniques de l'amour en mouvement, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 1,032,500.00 (€ 867,792.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Surrealism and Its Legacy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nouvelle année or La lumière revient von Jean Crotti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 315.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Crotti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les forces mécaniques de l'amour en mouvement beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 1.032.500,00 (€ 867.792,91) versteigert wurde.
