The result of USD 40,000,000.00 (€ 35,439,000.62) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000,000.00 – 80,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Michel Basquiat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 110,487,500.00 (€ 98,333,481.67).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000.000,00 (€ 35.439.000,62) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000.000,00 – 80.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Basquiat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 110.487.500,00 (€ 98.333.481,67) versteigert wurde.
