Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deux femmes sur la plage by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 90,000.00 (€ 80,826.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dans La Roseraie in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 893,000.00 (€ 656,328.09).

Die Arbeit Deux femmes sur la plage von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 80.826,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dans La Roseraie im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 893.000,00 (€ 656.328,09).
