This artwork by Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the Impressionist/Modern auction, the work Voiliers sur le lac sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,447.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bord de mer, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 40,320.00 (€ 39,058.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern wurde die Arbeit Voiliers sur le lac für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.447,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bord de mer beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 40.320,00 (€ 39.058,41) versteigert wurde.
