Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Balloon Dog (Yellow) by Jeff Koons. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,007.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balloon Dog (Yellow) von Jeff Koons zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.007,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
