Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jeppe Hein could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Day Sale auction, the work Fire Drawing (3) changed hands for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,552.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeppe Hein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3-Dimensional Circle Illuminated in May this year with an auction result of USD 120,650.00 (€ 113,243.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeppe Hein konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Fire Drawing (3) für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.552,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeppe Hein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 3-Dimensional Circle Illuminated im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.650,00 (€ 113.243,85).
