This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
